Founders of Canerler Group, Kadir Caner and Bedir Caner, began their own businesses in 1963 as greengrocer. In the following years Kadir Caner and his brother developed their business in fruit and vegetable trade and became the well-known businessmen in the sector. In 1987 with the opening of their first supermarket, they entered into the retail store business and they became one of the best known brands in Ankara by increasing the number of their new supermarket stores. Canerler that adapted to the fast improvement of the sector and became the sector leader with its reformist structure, owned the “Kızılcahamam Mineral Water” facility in 1998, and shared the significant part of Turkey’s mineral water production .
Canerler has been the first in many areas such as meat processing, fruit-vegetable packaging facilities, and logistics services; and has had activities and operations in many business areas. Canerler has become the largest regional supermarket chain in Turkey by increasing the number of companies to 9 and stores to 50 by 2005.

In 2005, in order to continue developing during the improvement in the sector and the renewal in the market conditions, the company established a partnership with another group in the sector and determined the common aim as being the “national brand”. The company established a successful partnership and made their goals go further.

The group continues the partnership in retail stores sector and also takes part in construction sector independently and rapidly implements their projects in Turkey. At the same time the group takes place in the real-estate sector and keeps investing. Anmar Inc., one of the group companies, successfully operates Kızılcahamam Mineral Water facility and widens the market share with its new product range and successful marketing network across country. KBC Foreign Trade Inc. and Beka Marketing Inc. continue their marketing activities locally and internationally.

In addition to developing and improving their present investments, Canerler Group lays the groundwork for future investments.
